Stallions’ Center and Point guard power-duo Jeremy Pequillos and Cesar Cadavillo combined 37 points; Pequillos’ 20 points and 18 assists and Cadavillo’s 17 points and 15 assists that led the team with the assistance of John Aguas’ eight points and 10 assists, Nash Alfaro’s six points and Loquinario’s three points and five assists.
“Successful yung pasahan namin, nagkakaisa at yung offense at defense namin ay ganun din naman. Full movement kami sa game kanina, kaya siguro naabantehan namin yung Gr.8 nung pagitna ng first quarter hanggang huli,” Pequillos said.

Sophomore Hans Austria’s 20 points and 15 assists with the ample help of Richie Dellova’s eight points and seven assists, Mark Camacho’s eight points and six assists and the combined eight points of Sidaman and Aberlo weren’t enough to scathe Seniors’ unbeaten title.
Pequillos already ablazed with an early start as he fired two consecutive layups in the first minute of the first quarter despite of the pooled four points of Austria and Dellova and one three-point shot of Camacho, 8-7.
The power-duo then went full throttle as they nestled 16 points within four minutes with their layups and two-pointers to nail the Sophomores at seven in the first quarter, 24-7
Sophomores started the second quarter with two consecutive two pointers from Dellova but it was not enough to manhandle the Seniors as Baredo answered with a three pointer followed by Neil Patungan and Joshua Baredo’s layups, 31-11.
The crowd were left in awe with Patungan’s towering block from Austria but the Freshmen still tried to prove them wrong as Sidaman registered two consecutive two-pointers and Dellova firing a layup but still weren’t enough to tie up the game as the Power duo and the other Seniors were unstoppable, 36-19.
As Seniors continued to romp in the third quarter, Austria stepped up for the Sophomores as he registered six points within three minutes with the help of Iglesia but the Seniors worked on their defense and offense to answer Austria, Iglesia’s effort with consecutive layups and two pointers, 53-37.
Cuzares then tried to lead the Sophomores in the last quarter as he clinched two consecutive layups and a drive but as the Seniors prove steadier down the stretch with the power duo and Alfaro’s two-pointers and layups, the Sophomores seems have lost their usual poise, letting the Seniors clinching the top spot and ending them up in the game, 72-51.
It will be the fifth consecutive year for the Stallions to show up and compete for the Congressional Meet after this game.
