Constantino fires midrange jumper to save QNHS devastation; QNHS destroys Tiaong in Volleyball Girls

Mark Constantino scored on a crucial midrange jumper in the last seconds of the fourth quarter to seal the game with a thrilling 64-61 leading Quezon National High School against Dolores during the 2nd Game of Men’s Basketball while QNHS Volleyball Girls team reigned in Women’s Volleyball Congressional Meet 2018 after devastating Tiaong, 26-24, 25-14, at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Candelaria, September 7.
Constantino came out smoking in the last quarter with his midrange jumper after Quezon Higher (name) Alfaro was fouled and drained two free throws to wipe out the tied score, 62-59, cementing their lead against Dolores.
Meanwhile, QNHS Volleyball Girls team sizzled in the first set with power-duo Nath Baligod and Dhey Ann Zoleta’s pass-set-hit and spike approach proving steadier down the stretch throughout the game.
“Hindi namen pinabayaan yun momentum namen simula nung first set, tas communication lang talaga siguro yung nagpapanalo samin”, Zoleta said.
Quezon High already romped up in the first half of the game against Dolores after they fashioned out a dominant 11-point lead with a score of 31-20.

QNHS hoopers retained their momentum in the third quarter with Alfaro and Loquiharoi succeeding drive layups and a three pointer, 49-44.
Dolores (name) Tainas went on a full throttle after firing two consecutive lay-ups and midrange jumper with just a minute to tie up the score, 60-59.
However, QNHS then fired up after Alfaro made a 2/2 free throws followed by a midrange jumper to end up Dolores with 64-61.
Meanwhile, QNHS Volleyball ignited the first set by a five-point lead after two consecutive kills by Zoleta with Tiaong lapsing into a series of errors, 11-6.
Tiaong remained groping for form giving advantages for QNHS but QNHS also tend to lapse into a series of errors with outside services and error in receives but still ended up Tiaong in the first set with Quarto’s drop,26-24.
QNHS then started the second set with (name) Leoparte’s spike cementing their lead until Tiaong seems to lose their usual pose in the game,16-11.
QNHS continued to get tougher and grittier after Zoleta bagged six points with just a minute after a drop ball, two consecutive blocks and two kills to nail Tiaong, 22-11.
Zoleta then ended up Tiaong with a drop ball followed by a block to finish the game with a score of 25-14.
