WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE ON MY SATURDAYS?

by: Rajzaiken Anda

Saturday may either be one of the best day

or the worst day of the week.

Most of my Saturday, as soon as I wake up, I don't directly get up but instead use my cellphone

first, surf the net, scroll up and down, tweet and

share posts in Facebook, watch videos on Youtube

and sometimes play Mobile Legends or Clash of

Clans. Most of the time after this, I fix my bed first and

get down to eat my breakfast. I wash the dishes and clean the house including cleaning and sweeping the floor and watering the plants.

Aside from this, most of my Saturday, as soon as I wash the dishes after I eat my breakfast, I directly prepare the laundry and do it for almost 4 hours and sometimes I only wash my clothes. This sums up the kind of Saturdays that are the worst day of the week.

However, the Saturdays that is best day of the week

INFOG.png

are the Saturdays that I can play online games without thinking any requirements needed to be submitted on Monday. Most of the time, I go out to play after lunch and stay there for almost 5-6 hours playing League of Legends, Rules of Survivals or Apex Legends sometimes with my friends or only by myself. I do not always go out though to play sometimes I play inside the house which is Mobile Legends or Clash of Clans.

Also, the kind of Saturday that make the best day of the week includes me making my homeworks since it widens my knowledge about a topic. It does not only widens my knowledge but also improve my holistic development as a student and as a person.

This quote inspires me to push through my dreams and overcome my problems in life to succeed. It’s all about that sometimes  problems  actually  allow  us the  opportunity  to focus  on how we could  do things  differently, and analyze what the first time around did and didn't work right. It is very meaningful for me because as a son, a brother, a student, a campus journalist, and a student leader I have a lot of responsibilities that I need to take upon oneself and that I encounter a lot of problems and I used that to succeed and to get the victory.

I’m a campus journalist in Quezon National High School, a web designer from Online Publishing team, one of the representatives of The Coconut/Ang Niyog competed during Division School Press Conference 2019 and won as the best web designer and best group. I also competed in the Regional School Press Conference 2019 representing the Online Publishing team of Quezon but suddenly we did not make it. It’s not bad for the first timer to represent the Quezon during Regional School Press Conference. I am also a student leader and won as the Public Information Officer during the Supreme Student Government Election 2020. I’m Jan Angelo Claierx O. Paderon, a grade 10 student.

My 2020's LEAP OF THE YEAR

It's either the leap year or the leap of the year.

In that 4 minutes that we lack each day for the Earth to rotate on its axis everyday results to the leap year that we only experience once every 4 years. It's funny how a normal day can turn into something special and it turns out to be the leap year and I also find it funny where 4 is always involved.

In this blog, I will share to you how this year's leap year became my leap of the year. UwU

thanks-to-leap-year-we-have-an-extra-day

Saturday morning, I din't even notice that it's this year's leap year. It was a normal day, I woke up, fixed my messy bed, brush my teeth, eat my breakfast and made my assignments including this one. Then this one task required me to write the date today, that I realized that this is an extra day for 2020.

There's actually nothing to be celebrated if today is the leap year, not at all. However, I came out in the house, breathe some fresh air and went inside again. I thought of something since this only happens once for every four years, I opened my phone and went to Twitter.

I went to the direct messages and counted to four. Each number points                                                             out to one person, and as I count to four hoping that a special                                                                             person would point out as I reach 4, I was thinking of only one person.                                                             One... Two... Three... Four... I opened my eyes, it was the person I was                                                             thinking of since the start of count. I typed, "Hi!". It took her a minute to                                                         reply, but she did, "Hello!"

I didn't know what to reply but as I clicked every letter in my keyboard formed a message, "Imagine this leap year being my leap of the year..." She replied, "I..."

PARASITE: An Art to be sight

NICE.gif

by: Rajzaiken Anda

"For those who believe that art is something powerless. Parasite is art. Art holds up the mirror to the ugly truth. Art brings about transformation." (Halder, 2020, para. 1)

Halder here talks about the award-winning 2019 South Korean black comedy thriller film directed by  Bong Joon- who follows the members of a poverty-stricken family that plans to be employed by the wealthy family through infiltration and posing as unrelated highly skilled people.

This movie also focused on showing representation of the living  conditions of poor and unemployed family in semi-

basements and how can low job opportunities can affect them in all aspects of life and in general. After proving themselves with its screenplay and direction, performances, social commentary, humor, and editing, and has featured in listings of the best films of the 2010s, the film received critical acclaim.

With its best social commentary representing the 'low' ones it just showed how much film can have an influence on social change. After winning a leading four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film as the first South Korean film to receive Academy Award recognition, as well as the first film in a language other than English to win Best Picture it simply took the attention of Seoul City Government.

After seeking for change, Director Bong Joon let the Seoul City Government financially support 1,500 households living in semi-basement to improve their living conditions. (Hyun Ju, 2020, para. 1)

This just really shows that there is still such movies that can be depicted as an art that holds up the mirror to the ugly truth, thus, seeking for change and that Art brings about transformation.

A Development Communication about Intellectual Dishonesty.

I learned in today's lesson in EsP that their are 3 different types of Lie:  Jocose Lie, Officious Lie, Pernicious Lie. Jocose Lie is where you are lying to make someone happy or to be grateful to their self. Another is Officious lie that you are lying to protect and defend yourself. While Pernicious Lie is a lie that you spread fake news to make damage from someone's reputation. And after that discussion i realized that Jocose Lie is the common committed lie
