QNHS English Department holds Bookweek Festival

The English Department along with the Young Journalist Club (YJC) hosted the annual celebration of Bookweek Festival in Quezon National High School with the theme “Inclusive.  Innovative.  Interconnected.” last November 28-29.    

 

The annual celebration lasted for two days. Sit contests were conducted the first day while the group competitions as well as the Characters on Parade, Gods and Goddesses and DREAM Awards were held the second day.     Sit contests included Letter writing, Library Hugot Lines, Poster and Bookmark Making, and Quiz Bee from Grades 7 to 12.    

 

It was the first time that the Search for Gods and Goddesses, the most awaited portion of the event, held first before the DREAM Awards.    

 

In other events, Characters on Parade had another venue at the Gabaldon Building where the raffle from the English Department was also held where they gave away varieties of school supplies to 10 students per grade level DREAM Awards also became the highlight of the event after presenting students from different curriculum from the individual awards to skills the best film and radio drama.

Awarding for the sit and group contests such as Song Translation and Theatrical Speech Choir were the last event that happened.
